Relaxation is central to the Hammam experience and this is a treatment for both men and women

The Hammam is a water steam bath where heat and humidity intense are combined.
It enables the body to get rid of toxins by relaxing the skin and opening the pores.

The Hammam will bring feelings of warmth and wellbeing.

It is a true relaxing moment to enjoy alone or with friends.

It's perfect when followed with a massage, traditionally on a heated stone bench.
Your step-by-step guide :

  • Start by making sure your bathroom is warm that you have several large fluffy towels and a glass of cool mineral water to hand.
  • Wet your skin with warm water and, starting on your legs, apply the  Traditional Black Soap working it into your skin in circular movements.  Move up  from your legs to yours arms and then your middle.
  • Rinse your skin with lots of warm water.
  • Re-apply the black Soap and rub your skin with the Kessa = a traditional Moroccan glove, working more vigorously on the areas where cellulite may gather.
  • Rinse your skin with lots of warm water.
  • Sitting on the edge of the bath, generously apply the black soap to your feet and run the foot scrub over your heels. Rinse with warm water.
  • Rhassoul clay  with geranium is the most important element of the hammam bathing ritual as practised across North Africa and it is considered the special preserve of the nomadic Berber tribe. Apply the clay by hand and leave on for a minimum of 10 minutes, this will also help restructure the skin tissue. Applied to the face it gives a fresh glow to the skin and used on greasy hair helps rebalance the sebum levels.
  • Rinse off with lots of warm water.
  • Finally, a great complement to the hammam ritual is to apply a perfumed oil, such as Argan, Amber or Jasmine, all over the body.
